Position Description:
In this active role, you will be providing parts, equipment and materials by identifying any manufacturing needs and then arranging on-time delivery.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Purchase parts, equipment and materials by preparing and submitting purchase orders.
- Deliver parts, equipment and materials by arranging shipment with trucking companies and suppliers.
- Follow up with vendors on overdue PO’s daily.
- Utilize computer software to analyze and evaluate purchasing data and prepare reports.
- Evaluate and review purchasing procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Maintain P.O. process in computer system.
- Track and distribute return product information.
- Assist receiving in resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain Vendor Corrective Action process.
- Expedite, remove, or delay orders to maintain proper inventory levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree a plus.
- Two years of purchasing or manufacturing experience or Associate’s degree or three years of Peerless Industries, Inc. experience.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Computer proficiency in Excel, Access, Word.
- Good follow-up skills.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus!

CNC Programmer / CAD CAM
Position Description:
In this role, you will effectively create, maintain and improve programming for CNC equipment (Laser, Chopper, Robots, Machining Centers and Turning Centers).
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Creates CNC programs for new parts for production and prototype runs.
- Maintains organized libraries of CNC programs, DXFs and other related files.
- Troubleshoots existing programs to gain improvements in quality and efficiency.
- Accurate set up and operation of all tool room equipment, including CNC machining centers.
- Able to write G code shop floor programs for CNC machining, as well as perform CNC 3D contour machining from CAD models using NC tool path software.
- Performs CNC and conventional machining applying most efficient speed and feeds, as well as most appropriate cutting tool selection.
- Assists in coordination of tools relating to the CNC equipment.
- Assists in coordination and re-ordering of consumable and repair parts for CNC equipment.
- Analyses and evaluates part runs and initiates routing change process where required.
- Assists in troubleshooting equipment problems with technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Associate of Science degree with coursework in CAD-CAM,
- 5 years of CAD-CAM drafting, CNC programming, CNC Machining
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Extensive knowledge of CAD-CAM applications

Position Description:

We’ll rely on you to manage engineering documentation in a manner that achieves high levels of accuracy and service while supporting overall company objectives. This will involve originating and maintaining product structures and routings by creating standard descriptions, retrieving pertinent data from other departments, and entering data in an accurate and timely manner.

Position Requirements:

- Ability to read blueprints of sheet metal drawings, tolerances, and gauges

Position Description:
In this role, you will perform activities required to improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce throughput time while supporting overall company objectives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Determine the most effective means to use capital, equipment, energy, facilities, information, material, people and other assets to make a product or service.
- Participate in product design concept reviews and provides input into “design for manufacturability.”
- Responsible for process cost estimating.
- Confirm original claimed savings estimate through time studies.
- Evaluates current manufacturing processes for all Peerless Industries, Inc. products and suggests- implements better manufacturing methods to help reduce actual product cost.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process related quality issues by personal investigation and conferring with appropriate internal departments and external resources.

Quality Assurance Inspector (Manufacturing Experience Only)
Position Description: Growing metal fabrication manufacturer, serving the audio-visual industry, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector. This individual will ensure quality products are being manufactured by conducting inspections and controlling documentation.
Essential Duties:
- Inspects and compares parts to drawings for a production run
- Identifies raw material condition by collecting samples and conducting inspections and physical tests
- Determines condition of finished goods by collecting, inspecting and judging product acceptability in comparison to specifications
- Determines acceptability of rework by conducting inspections and physical tests of reworked product
- Contributes to team effort
- Reviews bills of material (BOM) and routing for accuracy
- Prepares, controls and maintains manufacturing and inspection documentation
