Regional Sales Manager – Outside Sales Division (Pacific)

Position Description:

Are you a Sales Professional looking to take your career to the next level?

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with sales management expertise to promote, sell, and secure new business by understanding customer needs and calling on those customers. Develop relationships and business both with established accounts and new opportunities, including dealers, distributors, retailers, specifiers, and end-users. Must manage the success of the region to maximize profitable sales growth. Prepare information or other tasks as may be assigned by sales management.


The region consists of Northern California, Denver, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.

Essential Results:

  • Effectively service existing accounts and establish new accounts by smart planning and organizing of daily work schedule to call on current and potential sales opportunities.
  • Meet sales objectives of the region.
  • Must demonstrate continual success pursuing and securing new accounts.
  • Keep management informed of all worthy sales contacts by submitting call information each week in Sales and Marketing system.
  • Monitor competition and gather, on an on-going basis, current marketplace information, including pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, programs, merchandising, and other information that may be helpful.
  • Educate dealer/distributor personnel on our products and how to sell them.
  • Prepare a resourceful annual region sales plan and effectively execute it.
  • Recommend changes to be made in our products, services, and policies to management based on in-field feedback and observations.
  • Resolve customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, resolving complaints, and/or preparing reports. 
  • Assist in marketing research activity as requested by management.
  • Support other Peerless sales people and associates while in the field.
  • Use proper company forms and procedures for all administrative functions.
  • Treat customers, end-users, and Peerless associates with dignity, respect, and good communication.
  • Extensive travel (80%) required.

 

Position Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • At least 5 years in Outside Sales or related position experience.
  • Established relationships in Pro A/V and CE industries.                       
  • Effective writing skills, excellent communication and listening skills.

Forklift Driver/Order Picker, $15/Hour

Position Description:

Immediate, full-time position available for individual to maintain distribution of products and component parts according to the needs of the department by delivering materials and supplies to and from warehouse inventory locations. 

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Transfers material from and into warehouse locations.
  • Retrieves unused or excess supplies and equipment and returns/re-enters them to inventory.
  • Maintains inventory by correctly identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, using Inventory Identification Tags during all transactions.
  • Pulls materials and supplies listed on scanner, work orders, move tickets, material reqs. and delivers them to appropriate workstations or other locations.
  • Documents movements of materials and supplies using computer system provided (bar code scanners, IFS, or shop order tracker).
  • Supports other departments by executing inventory adjustments and physical deliveries.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting facility during daily routine, reporting problems to the Maintenance department.
  • Applies and safeguards warehouse operations and contents by monitoring established security/safety policy procedures.
  • Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use and reports damage or mechanical problems to the Maintenance department; fills out daily forklift checklist.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Promotes organization, good housekeeping, and good work ethic.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Verifies inventory is properly marked and stocked in correct locations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Two years of forklift and warehouse environment experience preferred
  • Some computer experience
  • Effectively communicate (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments.
  • Must pass material handler competency tests.
  • Must pass Peerless Forklift Training Program.
  • Must be able to work overtime without notice.

We are seeking an individual to work as a Technical Illustrator & Writer within the Engineering department. Duties will include:

  • Illustrates concepts, assemblies and components by designing and executing drawings, sketches, prints, charts and graphs
  • Comprehends technology by observing production and use; interviews engineers and designers; studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, parts lists, mock-ups, samples and more
  • Prepares printed materials by designing and executing sketches and rough and finished artwork

Design Engineer

Position Description:

Make your mark in this creative mechanical engineering role!

You will be responsible for designing mechanical parts, products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods, and completing engineering projects by managing, organizing, controlling, and evaluating project elements.

 

Specific duties will involve:

  • Initiating project objectives by studying design plans, engineering drawings, and reviewing specifications and requirements

Industrial Engineer 

Position Description:

·         Cost estimating manufacturing operations, using standard time and methods, and cost justifying any tooling/capital expenditures, including cost verification

·         Reviewing concept and prototype product designs with Design Engineering, Mfg Engineering and Mfg personnel for input/feedback

·         Developing time standards via time/method studies, as assigned

·         Fab/Assy/Pack release to Mfg and Sample Run processes

·         Maintaining IFS part costing, including lot sizing, part routing, BOM, purchase costs, including shop floor support

·         Developing mfg work instructions, including assembly/pack line balancing

·         Evaluating current manufacturing methods and supporting continuous improvement program by investigating/suggesting more efficient methods to cost reduce actual product cost

·         Determining the most effective means for the organization to use capital, equipment, energy, facilities, information, material, people and other assets to make a product or service

·         Completing ECN requests and helping to increase work volume by working efficiently to get projects completed promptly and accurately

·         Maintaining current organization of processes and documentation, updating and improving as necessary

·         Participating actively as a team member in continuous improvement activities

Position Requirements:

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of broad-based manufacturing experience

Pressbrake Setup Person

 

Position Description:

 

Immediate, full-time position available with growing company.

Position is responsible for the set-up of tooling for production runs of fabricated parts.

 

Essential Results:

  • Able to read drawings and use measuring tools required to make set-up
  • Knows and follows Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures to assure safety on shop floor
  • Follows written processes for shop paper work such as work orders, tags, pick lists
  • Maintains and keeps clean and organized all tool locations
  • Able to perform all necessary inspections on fabricated parts
  • Has basic computer system training to look up BOM’s, routings and create work orders.
  • Ability to set-up Cincinnati press brakes with PC controls
  • Understanding of 2,4,6 axis back gauging
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years in educational environment
  • Operator experience with knowledge of punch presses, press brakes, and all other fabrication equipment
  • Must be able to set-up and operate brake
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics
  • Ability to make changes to designs on the fly
  • Ability to perform quality control on finished products in a ISO environment
